‘Notcoin’ Players Get Exclusive Perks in Telegram Games ‘Pixelverse’ and ‘Musk Empire’
Pixelverse’s PixelTap and the Elon Musk-themed Musk Empire both announced team-ups with Notcoin on Wednesday. PixelTap’s collaboration comes just one day before creator Pixelverse launches its PIXFI token on The Open Network (TON), which will yield rewards for players—though details of an airdrop remain vague as of this writing.
According to a Telegram post, Pixelverse will offer staking rewards for Notcoin (NOT) token holders, along with Pixelverse-themed quests in Notcoin with a $250,000 prize pool. Also, Notcoin players with Gold or Platinum in-game levels “will get perks from Pixelverse,” reads a Notcoin post.
Meanwhile, Musk Empire—a tap-to-earn game that lets you upgrade and enhance your own version of Tesla and Twitter head Elon Musk—revealed a team-up with Notcoin, days after temporarily rebranding itself to “NOT Empire” and adding Notcoin imagery to the game. Now the game has special missions for Notcoin players, particularly those with Gold or Platinum levels.
“Love to see such win-win integrations, and how both Empire’s and Notcoin community benefit from it,” Notcoin posted in its official Telegram channel. “Mining apps that turn into real games have a huge potential and we want to see more games like this.”
Notcoin launched its NOT token in May and it quickly became this year’s biggest gaming token—but players have been eagerly awaiting the game’s next moves. The Telegram game has launched “earning missions” that provide passive NOT income to players, and has recently teased an upcoming gaming collaboration with TON NFT project, Lost Dogs Co.
Open Builders co-founder Sasha Plotvinov told Decrypt that he aims to have Notcoin become the “Netflix for social, viral games” and gradually integrate more externally-developed crypto games into the Telegram-based mini app.
