Raoul Pal Says Do Not Miss Bull Run Because of XRP, Emotional Attachment to XRP Could Cost Investors
Raoul Pal, founder of Real Vision, has recently stirred emotions in the XRP community by calling on market participants to jettison XRP.
In a widely-circulated video, Pal urged investors to overlook old coins like XRP and ride the momentum of newer narratives for more prosperous investments. His call is rooted in the fact that it’s been over half a decade since XRP last benefited from a bull market.
Raoul Paul says to avoid “old” coins like #XRP and #ADA, but I think that’s missing the bigger picture.
While it’s essential to ride the momentum of emerging blockchains, anchoring your portfolio with proven assets is just as critical. #XRP and #ADA have stood the test of… pic.twitter.com/4JDIzBamhH

Pal noted that many XRP holders might hesitate to let go of the coin due to their emotional attachment and fear that this bull run could finally bring long-awaited gains.
However, he encouraged investors to set aside their emotions and fears. Pal reassured the community that if XRP were to experience a significant surge, they would always have the opportunity to re-enter the market.
He urged investors to prioritize rational decisions over holding onto a nostalgic narrative so as not to miss out on the current bull market.
XRP Enthusiasts Are Misled by “Cult-like” Mentality
Furthermore, Pal expressed dismay that XRP enthusiasts are being misled by a “cult-like” mentality, where only a select few benefit. He emphasized that the primary goal of investing in the crypto market is to generate profits, not to follow a particular ideology.
Accordingly, he advised investors to be “mercenaries” who allocate their capital to the most promising opportunities rather than follow a cult.
Notably, Pal clarified that his warning is motivated by a genuine concern rather than a desire to criticize or disparage the XRP community. However, prominent figures in the XRP community have expressed disagreement with Pal’s view.
XRP Army Reacts
Fred Rispoli, a pro-XRP attorney, acknowledged Pal’s authenticity and good intentions but disagreed with his assessment of XRP. Rispoli conceded that some older cryptocurrencies may be past their prime, but he believes XRP’s thesis remains valid.
Dizercapital founder Yassin Mobarak highlighted that XRP is a cryptocurrency investors won’t want to miss out on when its bulls emerge. Mobarak admitted that holding XRP can be “painful, boring, and demoralizing” in the short term. Yet, he believes the potential rewards make it a worthwhile investment.
Jungle, an XRP community pundit, believes Pal is overlooking the bigger picture by labeling XRP an “old coin.”
Jungle emphasized the need to balance a portfolio with emerging blockchains and proven assets like XRP, which have demonstrated resilience over time. He advocates for a diversified approach, suggesting that investors can benefit from both exciting new projects and established blockchains.
