AI-Focused Cryptos Outshine the Pack This Week, Bittensor Tops Gains

This past week, the digital asset market experienced a broad upward trend, with the artificial intelligence (AI) crypto sector standing out as the top performer over the last seven days. This week, the AI-driven crypto sector climbed 30.59% against the U.S. dollar, with bittensor (TAU) leading the charge.

TAU Surges, AI Crypto Market Hits $23.49B

As of now, the AI crypto economy holds a total value of $23.49 billion, a significant increase compared to the $5.29 billion recorded in November 2023. AI-focused cryptocurrencies stole the spotlight this week, outpacing many other digital assets.

All ten of the top AI coins by market capitalization posted double-digit gains, with bittensor (TAU) taking center stage. TAU saw an impressive 76.61% boost against the U.S. dollar, reaching $559 per coin.

Arkham Intelligence’s ARKM followed closely, climbing 50.77%, while the graph (GRT) enjoyed a 31.45% rise. Artificial superintelligence alliance (FET) picked up 24.49% over the past week, and worldcoin (WLD) added 23.12%.

The AI crypto sector is now valued at $23.49 billion, which accounts for 1.05% of the overall crypto economy. With $1.63 billion in 24-hour trading volume, AI coins have become one of the most actively traded sectors this week.

Other significant gains included PAAL’s 69.37% boost and AGI’s 72.17% climb. AI tokens have garnered increasing attention since last year, as AI technologies like Chatgpt and others continue to spread across the internet.

The sector’s value has surged 344% since November 2023, bringing us to late Sept. 2024. The top five AI coins have market capitalizations ranging from $1.4 billion to $4.3 billion, with ICP, FET, and TAU all boasting valuations above $4 billion.
